Lifequest22 said at 11:16 p.m. on Feb 16, 2009: Keener's out for a stroll and doing her camera magic capturing the sights and sounds of NYC. I'm so glad you included Trinity Church. and the gravestones. It really gives a feel of the city's history. And nearly every photo in this Tabblo has bits of red which ties them all together nicely. -- especially that big old red rock hauler which appears out of place in the city. I also like the san serif font--looks good.
Zippywinds said at 11:34 p.m. on Feb 16, 2009: wow more spectacular pictures from NYC :)
Pkeener said at 11:36 p.m. on Feb 16, 2009: Hey, Charlie! Thank you for dropping by. Linda, yep. I decided to not feature my favorite yellow cabs in this one, and actually, didn't notice as many. This was my walk to and from Ground Zero. Certainly not the whole of Lower Manhattan, but, just enough for this tabblo, everyody in a mission, coming and going...I grabbed a Sabrett's, and loved the vendor..he called me sweethaaaht, and treated me like i was the best customer he had all day, and he a ton, long line, etc. I <3 NY! The church was amazing, and so was the light that day.
Pkeener said at 11:37 p.m. on Feb 16, 2009: Zippy, meetcah there...
Ira said at 11:50 p.m. on Feb 16, 2009: Excellent walk in working hours. The business people of huge and perfect city. Remarkable photos.
Dyowi said at 2:58 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: thank for the tour! really felt like i was walking in the streets of New York.
Chilla said at 3:02 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Pam this is great. I must be learning a thing or two because I had begun to recognize it as New York, I think this is my favourite of your New York Tabblos. I guess 'no standing anytime' relates to the traffic and not to people! In the UK we use the term 'No parking'.
AdSR said at 3:49 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: This is good! My favorite: the one with the back part of the red truck. Somehow it reminds me of those construction building docu photos from 1930s and 1950s.
Wildthing said at 4:04 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Love your 'Life in Progress' sets, Pam. Hard to pick favorites. #7 stands out for me, and Doc Savage : Man of Bronze, checking his briefcase to make sure he brought enough underwear & socks.
Sd14 said at 4:47 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Hi Pam people are sooo interesting when you look through the lens of a camera i must do this sometime it so much activity everyone going somewhere & all directions i always wonder what might be going throgh their heads every one with a destination & purpose, nice one here you done realy good here girl, lovely tour, thanks girl joe???
Appropos said at 5:32 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: the inclusion of the cemetery is wonderful counterpoint to the hustle and bustle of the city..great tabblo
Mariusblack said at 6:00 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: i love this NYC series, pam. my fave in this tab would be number 9. i simply enjoy the lines, the play of black, whites and greys and the burst of reds. =)
and what i also love about the entire series is that it's honest. unpretentious. it speaks of everyday living and it's minute wonders that often get unnoticed, neglected and passed by. so i just wanna ask, are there more tabblos like this coming? i'm gonna wait. hehehe! =)
Leftofcenter said at 7:30 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: someone's in a new york frame of mind again! the angles you shot it's like walking beside you, if I had to pick a fave it would be the cemetery with the green leaves and red flowers(?) behind the iron railings. and I'm thinkin' Law&Order.
Pkeener said at 8:49 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Lefty! I had a pic of the NYPD black SUV, but it wasn't very good, so i didn't include it. Yeah I am in a NY state of mind. I have a few more tabblos still to come of NYC. M! thank you for the great insight. I almost made some of these B&W, I said ALMOST! ;) Farid, it was a beautiful and surprising oasis oasis, right smack dab in he middle of the city. Wall Street was a stones throw away! Joe, I always think those things, too, and that's what makes me enjoy doing the street shotos. Mikey, I have a couple more shots of the inside of the brief case..calculator, PEN and PENCIL, No laptop, a tape recorder and get this, a pack of cigarettes!! Celia! It meant literally NO STANDING, for the pedestrians, not the vehicles. We say; NO PARKING as well. It was so ironical, as most signs are. How can you not stand at a red light?? Dyowl, I appreciate your comment Arthur, I loved that truck! It did remind me of a truck from another era, plus it was red
Bxrgirl27 said at 9:35 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Thanks for taking us along on your stroll - it was lovely! ;-) No standing??? that's a new one on me - only in NYC i guess!
PhotoPop said at 10:15 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: From the tops of the motionless cold grey steel towers to the colorful teaming crowds below. It is the people that make the city. Wonderful shots. Love the dichotomy.
MARGALIT said at 10:43 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: thank You for Manhatan's excursion, vry nice tabblo.
Mariusblack said at 10:59 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: i'm glad you didn't. =) but i guess i wouldn't mind seeing some these in BnW. it just might be a totally different experience. ;)
Joaqy said at 11:31 a.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Oh look! Trinity. That was a nice stroll, Pam. No images of the Sabret guy? I love 'em hotdogs. :)
Debdog said at 12:31 p.m. on Feb 17, 2009: nice stroll Pam :) not the usual images of New York that come to mind, these are softer, more calm , less frazzled hurry hurry of the city ;)
Pkeener said at 12:42 p.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Joaqs, no! I put my cam down, so I wouldn't get it all full of condiments. But I was so tempted. Deb, it was a soft feeling that day. i think it was the light. People were focused, but relaxed
Pkeener said at 12:44 p.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Laura, I know you would get a kick out of it, and then be glad to get back home..like me. John, it is a great word to describe the feel.
Jackhonest said at 12:45 p.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Much to see in lunchtime! Good eye.
Bravemoonbearer said at 1:04 p.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Thanks for another educational tour of the Big Apple, especially since I haven't visited there.

Candlepower said at 3:32 p.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Wonderful look around the City. Good way to spend your lunch break!
Wlk68 said at 3:56 p.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Very nice slice of street life. I especially liked the church yard shots. I had no idea serene little oasis like that still existed in NYC.
EMA said at 5:07 p.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Excellent strret life photos! O love the the red spot in each of them.
SnowWhite said at 5:25 p.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Every one a winner! Thanks for the walk. :-)))
Karsten said at 8:53 p.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Pam, I am soooo glad that there is a "...to be continued..." for the NY with your eyes! The calmness of the church yard, the jewish just talking under a tree and this red truck is just amazing - considerring that it is broadway (o did i read the sign wrong???) All in all - thanks for another wonderful and different trip to NY Pam!
21-gramm said at 10:42 p.m. on Feb 17, 2009: exellent formating tabblo, Pamsie! Love to walk whish you! <3 x3
Pkeener said at 11:19 p.m. on Feb 17, 2009: Densie. Thank you for saying. Sometimes figuring out which format to use is the hardest part for me. I thought the grey was perfect for the skies that day. KArsten, it is Broadway, but it is about the farthest southern end of Manhattan. Almost to the river. I think it might be garbage going out to the barge! Yes, to be continued..I took about 1200 pics! lol Lorraine, you are very welcome! Hi Edite! how are you? I miss your tabblos. Wendy, it was such a complete surprise to see that graveyard. When you think of it, though, NYC is quite old,and way back then, I guess the church emetaries were the only place to bury the dead. Thank you Pat! it was so fun taking those photos. Thierry, #9 reinds me of you early secret garden tabblo. Sandy, i love reading your comments and It means so much to me that you take the time to view and comment. Jack, Hello! When you say "good eye" it really means something coming from you, the master good eye.
WEIMAR said at 2:10 a.m. on Feb 18, 2009: NY with your eyes, you should design a TAB with only one typical pic from one street or quarter
Pkeener said at 9:04 a.m. on Feb 18, 2009: Heid, that ia a genius ideai I will do it as an epilouge
Moabjeeper said at 10:30 a.m. on Feb 18, 2009: Wonderful pics of the city.
JuDeck said at 3:29 p.m. on Feb 18, 2009: I <3 Keeners NYC

Pkeener said at 6:54 p.m. on Feb 18, 2009: Linda, as do you. Bob, thank you, I know you'd love it there..for about a day. Judah! Thanks, girl. I <3 your San Diego
Umauma said at 10:40 a.m. on Feb 19, 2009: Great Tabblo Pam..This series is so exciting...you've really captured the 'big city feel!'
Abking said at 9:03 p.m. on Feb 19, 2009: Another good walk with Pam. The streets look so gray and clean, the colors really stand out. The sculpted business guy is more worried about his brief case than the musician above him: wide open, take a look inside. That's music for you!
Sirnicolay said at 9:21 a.m. on Feb 20, 2009: Love the pictures with reds, Pam. :)
Pkeener said at 11:11 a.m. on Feb 20, 2009: Allan, that was it. I saw the exact same thing with the brief cases, and I am glad you noticed. Thank you Michelle, as always for your wonderful input. James, the red really stands out when the sky is overcast with that great illuminating light coming through
Krisu said at 5:53 a.m. on Feb 23, 2009: A sudden need to travel to NY is capturing me watching this very live tabblo. Great job!
Daniela.arciprete said at 1:00 p.m. on Feb 26, 2009: i was there some years ago ... so NY is ... good captures
Gerardfotografeert said at 6:07 p.m. on Mar 6, 2009: Wow, excellent shots and a great and a wide variety of old and new buildings, garden and a strong red. Very beautiful work Pam.
