Make me a muffin

 

A few years ago, my cousin was standing in line waiting to order breakfast at a crowded cafeteria and the young man who ran the place was busy serving coffee,  heating rolls in the microwave and taking orders.... when a lady cut through the line and went up to the counter ahead of everyone else.

"Excuse me...I'm in a such a hurry,  can you make me a muffin please?" she asked while pointing to the pastries... everyone else  glared at her ..."just a muffin... please, make me a muffin"...she insisted loudly while the young man politely ignored her..."please make me a muffin" she continued in a whining voice  and suddenly the young man turned to her like lightening "ZAP!  he cried with an intense flourish of his hands  "YOU'RE A MUFFIN!" 

  An awkward silence fell over the room for a moment and the woman quietly went back to her place in line... but my cousin said everyone else had a smile on their face.

This is a fabulous Tabblo, it looks delicious, I think I will have to do some baking now, I have a big bake up once a week as we have aGranddaughter Michaela who is 17 living with us, she goes to College so I like to bake so she has a good lucnh, she leaves home at 7am and dosn't get back till 6pm so its a long day, this is the link to some pictures taken at her College, take care Ann

Ohhh Thank you Dear Deb! :^) With our muffins and smoothies we shall have CRAZY yummy fun!!! I guess the really funny thing about the story is that the young guy didn't even crack a smile as he ZAPPED her...he just turned right back to his work...taking care of business as usual! :^D Thank you Mimi~I just checked the box to see where these luscious blueberries came from and it says "Product of CHILE"...they are so sweet and tasty...I have to admit that they are sweeter than my very own home grown blueberries from my bushes...not as fresh but sweeter... :^) THANK YOU ALL!

Ahhh of course you may have coffee dear Mirella and Marius! We must stay awake also...I know all about that! My father made me coffee one time when I was getting ready to drive home from visiting him in Anacortes- It was before I became a "Coffee drinker" I remember telling him "uh oh Daddy- this coffee is boiling on the burner, is it supposed to do that?" He said, Oh, yes, it will be fine - just let me add some sugar and milk and it will be ready for you...It must have been strong because all I remember is that I couldn't sleep for about two days! :^O Thank you and hugs :^)

Cosy, warm and appetizing tabblo. Very lovely breakfast. Quiet and delicious. My dream:) Perfect photos. My morning not such. Usually I have breakfast at the monitor of the computer. And I do not notice, that I had breakfast. At job I drink morning coffee among a mountain of the documents or in a corridor with a cigarette.

What a super Tabblo!!!!! I love you remember "The importance of being Earnest", I enjoyed a lot reading, seeing al theatre and working with my Literature students this play! You have a tea cup which seems done in honey!! It is magic.
In Spanish, we have an popular sentence: "You have to take the breakfast like a king, the lunch like a prince and the supper like a beggar". Sorry if the traduction is not perfect...

Yummy, I love Muffins and Making Muffins. This is a Lovely Tabblo and put togethor very nicely, I am going to make carrot cake soon, Spent 20 dollars for all the organic stuff at the Community food store. Currants, Carrots,unprocessed wheat flour, spices, walnuts , vanilla, etc. I hope I get to make it tomorrow on my work day off. Cute story about the lady and the Muffin.
