a hauntingly connection, great place for reflection, well done :)

we all need to disconnect once in awhile, the ocean would be my refuge of preference too. and it would all play out in b/w in my head. so this the perfect picture.

Interesting photo. On the one hand - disconnect. On the other hand - connection. So I see it. B/w gives photos strong mood. Leaden water. Not realistic lines.

Has the look of a very old photograph. Very stark, dramatic scene.

This would make an interesting poster for a movie by Bergman, don't you agree?

tout va bien Jean-Emile?
PhotoPop said at 8:45 a.m. on Mar 12, 2009:
Many thanks everyone much appreciated.
Mike, I took this shot back in seventy-two. I hope that doesn't qualify for VERY old. This was in the days when you could process your own b/w which I did.
Eduardo, Bergman is a good choice. His movies are always so enigmatic much like this tab.
Annelies, perfect might be too generous but thanks and yes, everything is fine in Popville.
Pam, I'm connected to your connection to my disconnect.
Ira, Zippy, I think this composition only works in B/W.

From the sea the cold is felt. Nice old shot.

Fine Image, Jean-Emile. Life is one big twist of connections and disconnections. Having that lone figure really makes this shot even better.
PhotoPop said at 9:14 a.m. on Mar 13, 2009:
Thank you Alexey, Linda. I would agree the figure is what makes the shot, you can read so many things into the picture because he is there.

Ahhhhh, Keener you are right, "400 Blows" is what I'm guessing.
Den, that IS the future Mrs Pop; we got married three years later.
