All quotes in this tabblo are from the one and only, Andy Warhol. This tabblo is dedicated to him.
An artist is someone who produces things that people don't need to have but that he – for some reason – thinks it would be a good idea to give them.
They always say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.
I have Social Disease. I have to go out every night. If I stay home one night I start spreading rumors to my dogs.
Paintings are too hard. The things I want to show are mechanical. Machines have less problems. I'd like to be a machine, wouldn't you?
Death means a lot of money, honey. Death can really make you look like a star.
I'm afraid that if you look at a thing long enough, it loses all of its meaning.
Sex is more exciting on the screen and between the pages than between the sheets.
I never think that people die. They just go to department stores.

Lifequest22 said at 11:12 p.m. on Mar 11, 2009: POP_POP___James. My kind of art. Love the images, the layout. Love the way you popped in the B & W. Ok--hard to pic a fav, but I'm leaning toward the building, the tin can light fixtures, # 23, and the last one. Not an easy choice.
Ira said at 11:36 p.m. on Mar 11, 2009: Excellent job. It is your dialogue with the people.

Abking said at 12:47 a.m. on Mar 12, 2009: Great photos, dripping with gorgeous color (except for the B/W's which add to the gestalt) and off-hand but decisive framing. Andy's quotes are a bonus!
Charlespop said at 1:37 a.m. on Mar 12, 2009: There are some really fantastic photos and quotes here....salamat ! BTW , when I was pondering what name to use here of course I thought of my first name and.....Pop art.....voila ....the birth of Charlespop !
Mrsfabulous said at 1:59 a.m. on Mar 12, 2009: Ganda :) Now I wish I did BDP in Cubao instead of UP :p
Wildthing said at 5:30 a.m. on Mar 12, 2009: Great set, James. Love the light shades: Probably Campbell Soup cans. I didn't know what I thought of AW in the 60's, and I still don't. He had his own agenda, got himself a lot more than 15 minutes of fame, and was an inspiration to artists that couldn't - or didn't want to - paint in the classic style. He had his place and influenced so much design...and free thinking.
Leftofcenter said at 7:05 a.m. on Mar 12, 2009: There's definitely a Warhol "outside the box" vibe here, I think he would totally love this. Even when you "try" something different, the photography is still #1. WoOT! :)
Mirella said at 7:05 a.m. on Mar 12, 2009: A beautiful collage!!!I like the b/w too. But, perhaps due to my age, I dont agree with all the quotations. But HE was a son of its time. Ciao ciao
Ericf said at 8:08 a.m. on Mar 12, 2009: Naturally all the photos are excellent but I particularly like the combination of photo and quote in #4. Thanks for another great Tabblo James!

Fifteen minutes of fame!!! Haha! Warhol is wrong about that. In tabblo, we get more than 15 minutes of fame.
