March 1919: The March 1st Movement. The March 1st movement didn't work in Korea, and it remained under japan's control. It stimulated nationalism and was the impetus for the certaion of the provisional government. With people infused with a renewed sense of nationalism, the Japanese government became extremly concerned about the stability of its regime in the colony. |
