Woke up to see how much snow fell last Sunday and this is what I saw... |
This was parked right at front parkade entry/exit with the dreaded yellow police tape tied to railings... |
Whole block was taped off on both ends and there were TWO vehicles bashed in and 2 folks seriously hurt - apparently happened at 1:30 a.m. and I started shooting at 8 a.m... |
One tow truck and a flurry of activity. this car was a stolen vehicle I learned later... |
I'd say this is a 'write-off' - you'll see bits and pieces of bumpers and sundry later... |
This vehicle was parked just behind another that was clipped as drivers collided and then the stolen one must have spun out and backwards all the way to back to right in front of this condo building... |
A little 'lawn/snow' debris left behind... |
They'd been out there for at least 7.5 hrs measuring and assessing before i got up... |
The young lady in this pic had her rear bumper/taillights taken out while parked overnight....it was quite a distance BACKWARDS from where collision occured ahead! past next set of traffic lights!?... |
This is front underground parkate entry/exit way intothe condo building.. |
Tha's my Jeep Cherokee Sport parked VERY CLOSE to where it happened. 'got lucky'... |
He obviously landed up on front property of the adjacent building to us after clipping the corner of the damaged rear part of the woman's vehicle, that's her bumper or lack thereof in shot.. |
This is the other side of block that was cordoned off to oncoming traffic - my Jeep. |
As mentioned, this was a week ago last Sunday...It snowed again today.
Hope Spring comes sooner rather than later.
Hope the owners of all vehicles stolen and not 'recoup' their damages and that the 2 seriously hurt young men 'recuperate'...
Stealing cars and fast driving can cause way more tragedy - so they all, in a sense, were lucky.
What a photo op I awoke to huh? This is one I hope not to see again...pmc |
