White rose at night

Beauty

The scent so rare

it came to me

as I stepped out

so cautiously...

The world seemed strange,

dark, odd and cold

and I was feeling

tired and old

Yet that was when

I saw it there

and caught

the perfume

in the air

A rose at night

so pure, so white

translucent

in the fading light

I stopped to rest,

and linger there

to breath the fresh

and healing air

and then I thought

"What mystery...

the peace

this flower

brings to me;

It soon will fade

to bloom anew

each precious petal

kissed with dew"

And so it was

determined there

with each new day

that dawns so fair

I'd find the white rose

blooming there...

A search so sweet

A gift so true

and now,

I pass it on to you~

Listen to the exhortation of the dawn!

Look to this Day!

For it is Life, the very Life of Life.

In its brief course lie all the

Verities and Realities of your Existence.

The Bliss of Growth,

The Glory of Action,

The Splendor of Beauty;

For Yesterday is but a Dream,

And To-morrow is only a Vision;

But To-day well lived makes

Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness,

And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope.

Look well therefore to this Day!

Such is the Salutation of the Dawn!

Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations.

I may not reach them but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow them.    Louisa May Alcott

Dum spiro, spero (Latin)

"While I breath, I hope"

To sit patiently with a yearning that has not yet been fulfilled, and to trust that, that fulfillment will come, is quite possibly one of the most powerful "magic skills" that human beings are capable of.

It has been noted by almost every ancient wisdom tradition.

Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road,

but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.

Beautiful B & W tab, Rhonda, with words to match. All our tomorrows are mysteries: new pages of the book of life, that we are yet to be surprised and hopefully gladdened and enriched by.

When i saw this tabblo with the flowers , harp and water made me think of this song here.

When i read the Kalidasa photo quote and seeing the young ladys harp brought the song to mind since this tabblo and the song shows a peaceful relaxing nature.

Thank you Deb~ I think that Enya is a musical and artistic genius...very soothing and she "gets it" about the important things in life and love~ I have a real challenge with photographing my own hands- they always come out knarled and distorted looking...got any tips for shooting "HANDS"? I can try the 10 second button I guess~ Thank you Michelle- my friends inspire me with their creations! THank you Fabio- yes, Deb and I were just discussing this yesterday via phone...it will be so much fun!!! Hugs to everyone on the last Sunday in March!
