These statues are not solid gold. They are covered with gold leaves.

I visited this temple when I was in Thailand. Do you know the whole history involving this statue? It's amazing. Thanks for the photos.

EL ZORRO: If we would think this way there wouldn't have been any cathedral in Europe, any baroque chapel in Brazil, any temple in India... I think you're right, but let's imagine how many people have been inspired by this beauty and then helped someone else, became a better person, and so on? A Brazilian song says "we don't want just food / we want also entertainment and art".
