It's the summer break for Titus and Tatia, so all three kids are at home. It was too hot to run around so mommy asked Titus and Tatia to choose between molding clay and painting. They chose clay this time, so we started by collecting flowers, leaves, and sticks to put in the clay.

Mommy Aor mixed the clay powder that teacher Aob (from Ploypoom school) gave us. The powder came from Chiangmai. It was digged up as clay, dried, and crushed to powder. We just added water to it and we got instant clay. The clay is sticky and very moldable, with a bit of rough texture. While mommy was mixing the clay, the kids laid down newspaper and cardboard in the play area.

We started by making trees out of the flowers, leaves, and sticks we picked up. Titus wanted a house so he made a chair and a TV. Tatia made a man. So we had a house with a TV with a man sitting on a chair with a big tree in front.

Thanks to teacher Aob for the clay and art teachers (teacher Too and mommy Pim) for the idea of mixing plants with clay. 

 ปิดเทอมแล้วค่ะ เด็กๆอยู่บ้านกันครบสามหน่อ จะให้วิ่งเล่นกันรอบๆบ้านให้แม่วิ่งตามก็ร้อนเกินไป แล้วก็ใช้แผนเดิม ให้เลือกระหว่างปั้นดินกับสีน้ำ วันนี้เด็กๆเลือกปั้นดิน เราเริ่มจากไปเดินรอบๆบ้านเก็บดอกไม้ ใบไม้ และกิ่งไม้สำหรับมาเล่นปั้นดิน

จากนั้นแม่อ้อก็เริ่มผสมดินที่ขอแบ่งมาจากครูอ๊อบที่โรงเรียนอนุบาลบ้านพลอยภูมิของเด็กๆ ได้มาหนึ่งถุงยักษ์ ใช้มาปีกว่าแล้วยังไม่หมดเลยค่ะ เป็นดินที่ขุดมาจากแถวๆเชียงใหม่ ทำให้แห้ง บดให้ละเอียด ไม่แน่ใจนักว่าผสมอะไรเพิ่มหรือเปล่า พอเราจะใช้ก็ผสมน้ำเข้าไป แล้วก็นวดๆให้ได้เป็นดินเหนียวๆหนึบๆ เวลาปั้นจะเมามันมากเพราะดินจะเหนียว ปั้นอะไรก็คงรูป แถมมีเนื้อดินและทรายสากๆ ปั้นแล้วสนุกค่ะ ระหว่างนั้นเด็กๆก็มีหน้าที่ปูกระดาษหนังสือพิมพ์ และหากระดาษแข็งมารอง

ตอนแรกเราก็เอาดอกไม้ ใบไม้ และกิ่งไม้มาปักบนดินทำเป็นต้นไม้กัน แล้วซักพักธีธัชก็อยากมีบ้าน เราเลยช่วยกันกั้นอาณาเขตบ้านขึ้นมา แล้วธีธัชก็ปั้นเก้าอี้ ปั้นทีวี ธัชธีญาก็ปั้นคน สุดท้ายเราเลยได้บ้านนั่งดูทีวีและมีต้นไม้แสนสวยตั้งตระหง่านอยู่หน้าบ้าน
