Portraits 101

This was a really great class... I learned a lot about how to take a great portrait... I learned how to be in one too ;)

Our pictorial for Portraits 101 started out with a few awkward shots and goofy smiles as Biday (my little sister, ladies and gentlemen!), a newbie to modelling, posed for six photographers - four of whom she had met only 45 minutes earlier.

 

I could tell she felt very shy.

And very, *very* silly.

:p 

It didn't take long for her to get used to all those cameras pointing at her.  Perhaps it was the fact that I was her "ate" and I'd been bossing her around ever since I can remember :)  Pretty soon she was doing everything we asked her to, and even coming up with some ideas of her own :)

"Look at your nails like you're thinking of getting a manicure later!"

"Now laugh at my joke!"

"Pretend that you heard someone calling your name and you're turning to say, 'Yes?'"

Because there were six photographers and only one model, our teacher paired us up and we posed for one another too, something we all enjoyed very much :)

We had loads of fun taking photos of one another.  Even our model picked up a camera and started shooting, almost lying on the grass while clicking away!
