I like the pictures of when they both have the ball and the one when both dog and baby are checking out the toy box. Carter is a very cute little guy I bet he keeps you busy and provides lots of laughs and smiles.

Sweet, soulful kid. He sure looks like Gram/Pam. My favorites are #25 and #35. The trust shown between Carter and Gibson in 2nd to last photo is very moving.

I think I told you that before (or maybe everybody has told you that before): Carter has your eyes. I don't mean the color, but the way he looks. His pic in the bathtube is precious, as well as that one with Gibson. Good jog, Granny... oops, Pam!

I think Eduardo is right about the eyes, it was my impression as well before I read his comment. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for you to leave knowing it may be few months before you see him again. At least you have your pictures of him to keep you warm. Nice set of pictures of your baby boy better known as "He who must be obeyed" like all children.

John. in the 2 weeks since my visit, he has already learned the drop the cup from the highchair and "Uh Oh" waiting for Mama to pick it up for him.

Jigs! hey girl. That shot was a defining moment. Carter with his "whozit" the favorite toy, and then captivated by Gibson and that ever present ball.
Ira, yes, a perfect life and family. I am so thankful for that.
Zip, Gibson was the only child for about 5 years, and it is so much fun watching him and his boy. Better than Marley.
Sandy, you know it! Carter is going to be a charmer , for sure. He has a very sweet, yet funny disposition. Very similar to his Mom when she was his age.

Pam, he is adorable. Hard to believe it's already been 10 months. Looking at those eyes, I can see that when he looks at you, you don't have a chance. I have a grandson that affects me that way, one look in those eyes and I'm lost. But, oh, what fun it is!! :)

Wow Pam, he's added a lot of expressions since the last time we say him! Looks like he's getting a personality too. :)

The poem is excellent! I think it captures this moment in Carters life perfectly, as well as what it's like to be in love with a grand child. ... :)
