I have been doing some experiments with HDR lately. Each of these photos is made up of up to five exposures of the same scene.
Taken Monday.

Chilla said at 3:41 a.m. on Apr 3, 2009: I don't begin to understand HDR but I somehow wish I did! So all I can say is that visually these pictures are wonderful. I tried to think which I liked best and I think it would be #1 #3 #6 and the last picture

Saulblum said at 10:55 a.m. on Apr 3, 2009: Thanks! Linda, yep, I am shooting in RAW (+ JPEG, so two files per shot), and am using Photomatix to combine the exposures. The exposures are in general .7 of a stop to a full stop apart in shutter speed. You can see the five component images of the sixth shot here -- http://www.flickr.com/photos/87614014@N00/3409646704/in/set-72157594477989221/

Just the right touch and not over dramatic. i love every shot and the color from the boats is like icing on the cake. The layout is perfect fr these, and I like the negative-like black border on each. Beautiful, Saul, bravo and congrats.
