HDR

HDR

After trying and failing a number of times, I finally got to produce HDR images which I actually 'kinda' like. Haha! I hope to improve some more. Tips anyone? :)

Very dark skies, James. But I love the golden clouds in the last one.

Great pics cher! I have no clue what HDR is though. :)) Where is this place?
Akeke said at 7:47 a.m. on Apr 4, 2009:
Using Photoshop or Photomatix? The latter I'll guessed, if not I really recommend that, I bought the Pro version and it's superb. I'll suggest you take down saturation a bit and increase the midtones. :-)

Beautiful experiments. Especially last.

Lovely HDR James, #2,#4&#5 stands out for me. I find it a bit cumbersome doing hdr if the sun is too bright. I always use my tripod, 1/2 stop increment and decline normally produce good results for me if working on 3 exposures. cheers, gams

James--seem a little over saturated, but great attempt and I know you will improve with the technique. And Andre--great tip--Latent is the master. Bobbi--I think we all miss latent.

LATENT-4- EVER!!!

Thanks for the tips, guys!

I still have a lot to learn. The saturation does seem exaggerated. Ack.

Ryan and David, HDR means high dynamic range--such rendering gives more overview of the luminance (or range of light and colors) and shadows in an image. It is achieved by merging multiple pictures of the same subject but with different exposures.

Ake, I'm using Photomatix Pro. :)

Andre, that tabblo is really helpful! Thank you so much! I'm going to bookmark it. Haha!

Gams, wala pa kong tripod. LOL. I think these shots would be better if I had a tripod. Oh well. Maybe next time.

I wish I had also 'met' Latent-E when he was active. I agree that he's one of the best tabblo members I came across.

Thanks for the tips and kind words everyone. :)

a concept which i can't quite wrap my mind around, but i think i get it. I am definitely a kinesthetic learner, and just need to get out and do it.
James, i think its so great of you to share with us and garner ideas and feedback. And I know you will have this mastered in no time

Amazing shots... I still don't understand very well this HDR thing, but it´s fantastic =)
ConnieL said at 2:15 p.m. on Apr 11, 2009:
HDR makes for some impressive photos. I agree with Linda, perhaps a bit much saturation. Knowing you, it won't be long until you perfect this process. :)

Not so much my style... for me i finde the colours very strong and over power of the story of the picture . i wish u could take this one, one step forward. The lost picture is amazing capture. kiss

I agree with you,,,this is better than the other album mesmerizing marinduque, the colors are too sharp..this one's more realistic :) keep up the good work.
