Rainy Day, Spring 2009

It's spring fever.  That is what the name of it is.  And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!  ~Mark Twain

I went for a Sunday drive and snapped a few pictures today. Most of the flowers are starting to die back and green-yellow leaves are replacing the blossoms, but there are still vivid splashes of color here and there. The red clover is just starting to bloom and although the wisteria isn't as breathtaking as it was a week ago, it is still amazing. It has rained a lot lately and the green is so vibrant it's almost unreal. Spring in the South is a glorious time of year. April 5, 2009

I'm amazed by all the wisteria in the first shot. It looks like its taken over everything. That is wisteria, right?

Thanks all. Yes, that is wisteria in the first shot. It is considered a weed here (my kind of weed!) and seems to be taking over everything this year. It is really pretty and smells great to boot!
