High Dynamic Range (HDR) Images

Just a couple variations of the types of images that work well using HDR processing.  Photomatix Pro (Detail Enhancer) was used as the primary HDR Tonemapping post production software.   Images are compilations from 3-7 images separated at +/- 1EV.

I admire and enjoy this work. Yours are among the best I have see, Kelly. I just don't quite "grok" it!
Missed you lately, and glad to see your stuff again!

I do not have such programs for photos. But this very beautiful art. I very much like a photo # 2. Reminds a magic mirror. All photos wonderful. Luminous and very beautiful.

Very nice HDR processing. I am tired of the over-saturated processing that tells you it's HDR from one glance. Yours are very nicely done, and without being told, I wouldn't immediately think of HDR. That's good processing (in my opinion). I like your style!

Thanks to all for the comments. I threw this together in support of the new HDR group invite i received. I too was never a big HDR fan until I found some very skilled professional photographers with HDR images that looked extremely beautiful and not over processed. After some long days and nights of training, trails, and errors (Lots of those), I finally started to produce HDR images that pleased me.

Bottom line, I don't like surreal images and over processed and saturated colors of some HDR images I have seen but I can honestly say that if done right and with patience, you can enjoy the benefits of HDR and achieve pretty amazing results!!!!

Kelly-these are beautifully done. You have really gotten the hang of HDR. The images have a very natural look--capturing the tonal range while maintaining a natural looking effect. Kudos.

I'm totally ignorant about HDR, but the effect is so beautiful. I'm curious to know more about it.
