Buddism A religion started by Siddhartha Gautama which teaches enlightenment and reincarnation. On the bottom right is a simpler version of the eight fold path and on the bottom left is a wall painting showing the Buddha and his original five disciples as he meditates. |

Hinduism The oldest religion in India that believed in a massive amount of gods like Buddhism. The purpose of life for Hindus is to rejoin with God through lifetime after lifetime. Unlike Buddhism, enlightenment for Hinduism must take many lifetimes. On the left is a common symbol for Buddhism and on the right is the golden statue of one of the many gods. |

Islam A religion found by Muhammed the prophet which uses the Quran as its teaching book. Believes in one true god called Allah. Muslims follow very strict rules that must be followed. On the left is the sacred city of mecca and on the right is the kabba. |

Sikhism Another religion that has a final goal of reaching enlightenment and like many religions follows only one god which has no actual name. The religion rejects the caste system like Buddhism. On the bottom left is the sacred "Golden Temple" and on the bottom right is the common symbol for Sikhism which shows five different weapons involves dual edged swords and curved knives. |

Christianity A religion that split off of Judaism which believed in a single god called God. Jesus like Muhammed the prophet taught the ways of the religion and is now written in the Bible. On the left is painting of what Jesus looked like while on the right is a holy cross that carved how Jesus looked when he was being hanged. |

Jainism A religion that was founded by Vardhamana the last Jina. Jainism is very similar to parts of Hinduism and Buddhism since they developed at the same place. Also a religion that was to achieve enlightenment. Jainism had a special rule that made them fruitarianism meaning they only ate fruit. On the bottom left is the hand symboling Jainism and on the bottom right is how big Jains belived people were a long long time ago. |
