Salem State College at the annual Massachusetts Statewide Undergraduate Research Conference

On May 1, 2009, students from Salem State College joined others from eighteen campuses across the Commonwealth--Bridgewater State College, Bristol Community College, Bunker Hill Community College, Cape Cod Community College, Fitchburg State College, Framingham State College, Holyoke Communuty College, Massachusetts College of the Liberal Arts, Massasoit Community College, North Shore Community College, Quinsigamond Community College, UMass.-Amherst, UMass.-Boston, UMass.-Dartmouth, UMass.-Lowell, Westfield State College, and Worcester State--for the 15th annual Undergraduate Research Conference held at the Campus Center of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

 
Dr. Aaron Lazare, Chancellor/Dean Emeritus of the UMass. Medical Center gave the keynote address.

The Conference is sponsored by the Commonwealth Honors Council and by Commonwealth College at the University of Massachusetts. It is a requirement of the Salem State Honors Program to present one's senior honors project at some public forum.

 
There was a little time for sight-seeing. Professor Gonsalves was an Honors Program undergraduate on this campus just a few years ago.
 
Photo duties were shared among us all, but it was fun to give Rod Kessler a taste of his own medicine.
