San Francisco Scavenger Hunt

My sister, Jerri, & I spent a week in San Francisco... April 23 - 29 ...

My son, Matt, had made a photo scavenger hunt for us to do, if we wanted to...

It was really fun... however he did sort of cheat as he took us around the city to where most of the photo ops were... even telling us once or twice, "this is on your list"...

It was a contest to see who could get the most photos on the list... but of course, being together, we pretty much both got all of the same items.

Here are just a few of the photos from the scavenger hunt...

Jerri & me... You may know her as "Biking Nana"...

10 different murals...

Fog...

A street mucisian...

Golden Gate Park from above...

Cupid's Span...

Yerba Buena Gardens, through the waterfall...

A fish market...

I know... this is only 8... I have many, many more... enough for a whole tabblo...

A fruit / vegetable stand...

A San Francisco heart sculpture...

Someone wearing fur or feathers...

Someone cuter wearing fur...

/\ A novelty or ice cream vendor (cart) \/

A bike messenger

A rickshaw...

Dubose Triangle garden....

Someone in religious garb...

Someone in s costume///

The Woman's Building...

The Woman's Building...

Six signs in six different languages... #1

#2

#3

#4

Something abandoned...

#5

#6

Someone hailing a cab... Hmmmm... She looks familiar...

/\ The Chinese Fortune Cookie Factory \/

Rainbow flag...

A stark contrast...

A sea lion...

Clarion Alley...

Clarion alley... the other side... (full of more murals)

Reflection of a pagoda...

A stepped sidewalk...

A Peace sign... (we saw lots of them form t-shirts to murals... but this was the neatest)

Lotta's Fountain...

Street cars from different cities...

Well... this was about 1/2 the items on the scavenger hunt...

but only a tiny portion of the 742 photos I took...

So be prepared for more SF tabblos...  ;-)

We had a wonderful time in my favorite city...

San Francisco

What a great, fun thing for Matt to have come up with for you two girls to do. And your results are terrific, Jodi. Wonderful set of SF. Looking forward to more. Maybe with Alcatraz & fishermans' Wharf included.

You have some great shots, Jodi, that capture the essence of our trip to S.F. Now if I can just get my shots posted, we'll have the trip documented "from afar" and "up close and personal." Thanks for all your hard work here and for a fun, fun trip. And thanks to Matt for the great photo challenge! Love, Jerri

It looks like you had fun and the things you were scavenging for are all really cool. The photography club I belong to did a scavenger hunt a while back but the things we were supposed to find where a lot more generic. Something green, something with pattern, something rusty, etc.
