Celia, You chose the title and the photos accordingly. The mountains impressed me mostly in this tabblo. And we can infer that life develops mainly on the flat parts of such rugged terrain. From your past tabblos I knew that water is a rare resource on the island. The last photo is a wonderful illustration on how life depends on water availability. Great tabblo! Thanks much!

Thank you Fabio, you always provide such thoughtful comments. There are three mountain ranges in Crete and the Lefka Ori (White Mountains) are the western range. In the mountains there are many deep gorges and fertile plateaus and the terrain is constantly changing and the flora changes with it. I really appreciate the interest you show in this wonderful island!

So very, very beautiful. The mountain scenery, the orchids, the chukar and the sheep. Just take a breath and still yourself and listen to the wind in the grass määhhh of the lambs.
