In my little corner of the world

Finally the sun came out today after 7 days of non-stop raining!

 

A huge storm system stayed over Florida for a week, and  my area was hardest hit by record rainfall.

 

We got 25inches here in Ormond Beach!

 

Lucky I am in a non-flood area and we fared well.

 

 My pond is now a lake, and we received the rain we needed to end our drought.

 

A little too much too soon, but it put out the wildfires that were burning in areas of Florida

 

Everything is lush and green growing rapidly.

 

The birds are abundant and very happy that I have plentiful seed for them

 

I have seen other wildlife close to the house, maybe their usual areas have too much water

 

I saw a Bobcat under the feeder area, and yesterday a wild turkey ...too bad I did not have a camera ready  :)

Peace and tranquility. Lovely shot Deb. We also had fires that destroyed 10 homes and badly damaged hundreds, they couldn't control the flames, but the blessed rain came and doused the flames.

hi to you all....thanks for your comments...LOL FABIO...you make me laugh, i nearly did not post this because i was too critical of the light in the windows...?too light..anyway i am glad it's OK HAHA!!! i am working on some new images i want to do well :)
and yes, it is a good place to be with a book and a cup of tea...and i get Grady to lie on his bed beside me :)

Ahhhhh..."There's no place like home" and I found a bit of home there with you my dear...:^) I can just imagine the rain on the pond and overlflowing...and the geckos on the screens..and that darling black velvet puppy with the big paws...and the wonderful buzzing and bird concertos...etc~ ;^)
