Boa noite Eduardo Affonso.

Fantastic ! I love the contrast between the old and the new. Most of these ladies had to pay about $100 to dress up as a maiko and have their picture taken at a studio.
Wildthing said at 3:26 a.m. on May 25, 2009:
Are these Maiko (dance girls) wannabe Geishas, or just ladies wanting to look the part? Nice shots, Eduardo.
Leftofcenter said at 7:02 a.m. on May 25, 2009:
So much work goes into that "Geisha look", it's fascinating to me. Beautitul photos. And you caught a more modern pretty face too! very Edu.

Creativity and grace on steroids! Bravo, Eduardo!

Eduardo.affonso said at 10:20 a.m. on May 25, 2009:

TEO, ROBBI, FÁBIO, ROBERT, ANNELIES: Aritato gozaimass!

MIKE: Some of these seem to be real Geiko (or Maiko, maybe Charles can tell us the difference just by watching their clothes or hair style), others are just ordinary ladies wearing traditional clothes (these don't use the heavy make up).

CHARLES: Why didn't you tell me that when I was there? I could have earned some bucks!

ANDRE: Who are we??

EDU. perfect symbiosis between layout colors and photos...an artistic approach weel executed...parabens...abraço enaldo
Eduardo.affonso said at 4:54 p.m. on May 25, 2009:
ANDRE: Marilyn Manson? OMG... I prefer Ozzy Osbourne.

CELIA, IRA & ENALDO: I wish I could have asked these ladies to pose for me. As I had to steal the photos, most of them were out of focus, and didn't did justice to their unique beauty.

Love the woman in brown, standing in the street : )
Liliana said at 9:29 p.m. on May 25, 2009:
"Mme.

Ebucar said at 7:41 a.m. on Jun 4, 2009:
Aha! Here they are!
