Boston Street Scenes: Celtic's Pre-Game Action

THE SHOW BEFORE THE SHOW.

I did my best to capture the scene in front of the TD Banknorth/Fleet Center/Boston Garden just before one of the many Celtics playoff games. It starts, hours too early, with ubiquitous flag guys trying to entice you to spend $35 to park, unless, of course, someone drives you in a limo. Once parked, and maybe after a slice and a draft or two or three, it's time to make your way past the t-shirt vendors and ticket scalpers, taking some time out during the rush, if you can, to trade good-natured barbs with the fans of the opponents - in this case the Chicago Bulls. Once you make it past the "recruiters" you can finally make your way into the arena to enjoy yet another Celtic's victory.

Was that "Repent or Perish" guy singling out the Chicago Bulls fans? Did you have take a second mortgage to buy those tickets? I had to be satisfied watching the Celtics with my son on TV. Wait until next year. You captured the energy of the human carnival. Nicely done.
