THE AGLIPAY CAVES Aglipay, Quirino
"A series of 38 caves, seven of which have been developed as tourist spots. Located in the midst of rolling hills and verdant forests, the caves boast of an underground river and well preserved stalagmites and stalactites. They interlink with each other and run to a depth of 20 meters."

Getting ready to CRAWL!! |

|
We made it!!! |
|
This was an unforgettable spur of the moment trip with the hospital staff... and I ALMOST didn't go because I was tired from staying up all night during my ER shift.... or so I thought.
The two-and-a-half hour trek had us climbing over jagged rocks and crawling into holes that could only fit one person, and I had mud stains from head to toe by the time we emerged from the last of four caves we explored... but it was all worth it to see and feel (yeah, I bumped my head on low hanging stalactites a few times) those rock formations and the different textures of the rock walls!
And I got to try out my flash unit too :)) |

I managed to not get any mud on my face :) |
