I was ask by many friends to take pics of this service so At 37K I replaced the Cam Chain Tensionerson my 06 Ultra Classic. I took some photos of disassembly . I want to give thanks to my good friend and fellow Harley Owners Group (HOG) member Jim Hand who loaned me the tools and spent a Saterday afternoon helping me.

With the saddle bags removed the exhaust has to come off that was easy as I replaced the exhaust system with true duels so for this I need to remove only right side of the exhaust. The floor boards and Air cleaner are next to be removed

I went with adjustable pushrods so I was able to skip the step of removing the top end valve covers and rocker arms. Here is the scary part cutting purfectly good pushrods with bolt cutters GULP

 Now with the tension taken off the chain of the outer tensioner and the Pin tool in place the timing gears and chain can be removed. The cam plate out of the engine and on the bench you can see how badly the inner tensioner was worn. Not very many miles left in that tensioner and if not replaced and cause catastrophic damage

Now the Cam tensioners have been replaced in the cam plate time to remove  the inner cam bearing and replace the with new torrington bearings and then install new O ring in the Oil Pump and and Oil chanels she all set to put back together there is a tool to use to install the inner cam bearings but I needed two hands so was unable to Photograph it. but that is basicly it.
