Ericf said at 10:01 a.m. on Jun 10, 2009: A few towns east of Genoa. Most people are familiar with Portofino, well Rapallo is two towns away. The real gem that you MUST visit is San Fratuoso, which is east of Portofino and only accessible by boat or foot. There is a large statue of Jesus sunken in the semi-deep water in the bay. As a present on my 12th birthday my parents hired a rowboat and I saw it there, reaching up to the surface. The beach is small but made of small stones, rounded by millenia of soft waves. It's brilliant. Go now!
