Photo Outing_Penang (Vol.1)

No 65 Macalister Road

26th June '09:

Some selected photos from TAMRON's Photography Sharing held in Penang. Had the opportunity to meet Mr Foo Kok Kin, renowned photographer with decades of photography experience.

I took the street afterwards (Macalister Road) and shoot the surrounding area.

"Concentrate and think hard to compose a picture, and then you click with your heart". Tapi aku pakai click, click je most of the time.

He's at #65 Macalister Road

Door grill of a chinese house.

Bronze statues at Sun Yat-Sen memorial

The small crooked lanes in Penang.

Mangosteen.

Local fruits. Rambutan, durian and mangosteen.

A durian seller, waiting patiently for customers.

Minaret of Pakistan Mosque

The road ahead. Footprints in the foreground depicts the marks left behind by previous passers by which still remains on the ground as people still walks over it time after time. Just shows that the past is still with us but sometimes we choose to ignore it. This image is my favourite because it Mr Foo had chosen this picture as one to the Best 3 Photos of the Day. :D

Mmmmmm....rambutan and mangosteen are two of my absolute favorite fruits in the world - ESPECIALLY mangosteen! Durian, not so much ;) Great shots, and congratulations on Tabblo of the Day!

Rambutan and mangosteen? Hmmmm.... Such delicacies are very expensive here, and I had never tasted them until I visited Asia, about 2 decades ago. Clicking with our heart is the most difficult part of photographing, I guess. We must have a heart to do it! ;-P
