Out Here on My Own

Excerpts were taken from the song "Out Here on My Own" by Irene Cara.

Sometimes, I wonder

Where I've been

WHO I AM

Do I fit in?

Make-believing is hard alone, out here on my own

We're always proving who we are

Always reaching for that rising star

To guide me far and shine me home

Out here on my own.

Why is it so hard to talk about yourself?

It should be easy. If there's anyone to do it, it should be the person you spend every single moment of your life with: YOURSELF.

I guess it's because it all boils down to a singular quesition:

WHAT IS IT THAT DEFINES A PERSON?

(In this case, yourself.)

Is the the worldly facts he supposedly has?

My name is Luis Marcelo. I am a high school student who just recently turned seventeen. I am now in my senior year in  Xavier School, a private school in the Philippines.

Is it the people he is with?

I describe myself as a very friendly person. I may be shy at first, but I usually turn out to be someone you can easily warm up to.

I always enjoy the company of my friends. When I am down, they never fail to cheer me up.

Is it the things he keeps himself busy with?

Aside from working hard on my studies, I have a number of other interests and hobbies.

I am a member of the school theater club. I am quite interested in performing on stage, but I am also fond of working on other production details. This year, I am the the company manager.

I enjoy listening to music as much as I enjoy making it. I enjoy singing as it lets me release my self musically. I have also been teaching myself to play the piano.

Or is it the path he chooses at the END of the ROAD?

I don't know where I'm going at the end of it all, and I don't know who I am to the deepest sense of it.

All I know is that I am what the present makes of me and that I am content with that identity.

Sometimes I wonder

Where I've been

WHO I AM

Do I fit in?

 I may not win

But I WON'T BE THROWN

Out here ON MY OWN

Wow! It's very poetic, Luis. You were consistent with the style you brought up during the first part of the tabblo. :) By the way, I like you "road" picture. Great job!
