Many of our Hots Rods Unlimited members have been part of this parade since its inception. Even today, members are part of the organizing committee and volunteer their time to entertain thousands of people who come to watch it each year.

For the club it all starts around 7:30 in the morning, where we pre-stage the cars and then head over to line up with the other groups.

After we park, we let the cars cool off a bit, and take part in the annual Kiwansis pancake breakfast

Usually we have about 20 cars from the club participate, making us one of the largest vehicle displays for the parade

It takes about 45 minutes to decorate the cars, and then we wait for the parade start at 10:00

While we wait, we check out the runners who particpate in the 5k run...

....and others have to stick around to make sure someone doesn't chase after them...

Just about the time we are about ready to go....

...Uncle Sam comes by asking for directions...

Our good friends at the Model A club always keep an eye out for us...

...hoping that we don't eye of their cars to turn into a hot rod!!!
