It must take time and patience to learn to master the art of calligraphy. Interesting collection.

Cool work ! It is interesting for me that some times the same Chinese characters have different meanings in Chinese and Japanese. For example, the two characters for hand and paper together in Japanese mean "letter" but the same two characters together mean "toilet paper " in Chinese !

This is so beautiful & interesting. I don't think ideograms can be really "translated", because Western languages aren't able to express their complexity, their refinement, the juxtaposition of meanings, the many simultaneous levels. For me, they are always wonderful, in their solemn mistery (no matter whether they mean "letter" or "toilet paper", as Charles pointed...)

Thank you all for viewing. I am so glad so many of you out there enjoy seeing the Chinese calligraphy. It is an art form by itself and, like what Jorma had said, its very difficult to master the art. I have been writing Chinese for all my life and I still write like a junior student............LOL......

Chaeles: The Japanese learned all their Chinese characters from ancient China. How they mistranslated "toilet paper' to 'mail or letter' is beyond everybody's guess.
