Wonderful images of Street Opera, David. Like so much in modern times, it is a shame that it is endangered. Hopefully this cultural part of life will not be allowed to die out.

First saw a Chinese Opera in Singapore in 1945. It blew me away! It should be kept as part of the Chinese Culture!

oh my god, David - you kept living art!!! Besides the colors - it remembers me of the movie "Adiós A Mi Concubina (Ba wang bie ji)" - a movie of the 90´s don´t know the engosh title..great captures - and let´s hope that this art survieves!!!

I'm always amazed at how much expression is brought to the faces of these performers through the extreme make-up. Great shots with an intense, intricate color palette!
