Airplane Cine JK / Cine Avião JK

 

 

 

 

The city of Araçariguama, with 16,000 inhabitants, is 50km from the capital São Paulo. In the highest hill of the city is the Praça Santos Dumont, where the Viscont 58 plane was placed, which served to President Juscelino Kubistchek. In 2006, the city administration bought this plane in a VASP scrap auction and mounted a cinema inside it, the Cine Avião JK. With capacity for 70 people, it projected educational films. Today the cinema is disabled and tourists visit the place.

 

 

 

 

A cidade paulista de Araçariguama, com 16.000 habitantes, fica a 50km da capital São Paulo. Na colina mais alta da cidade está a Praça Santos Dumont, onde foi colocado o avião Viscont 58, que serviu ao Presidente Juscelino Kubistchek. Em 2006, a Prefeitura da cidade comprou este avião em um leilão de sucatas da VASP e montou um cinema dentro dele, o Cine Avião JK. Com capacidade para 70 pessoas, o cinema projetava filmes educativos. Hoje o cinema está desativado e o local virou ponto turístico.

CINTIA, quando recebi estas fotos do Foguinho, lembrei-me da boate que foi "construída" dentro do avião da Praça do Avião em Garibaldi - RS. Era muito TRI. Abraço, menina.

Oi Liliana, bem observado: tenho mostrado coisas antigas, com histórias por trás... gosto disso. Já descobri que na minha vida anterior fui uma professora mal sucedida e agora estou querendo consertar as falhas daquele tempo... que legal !!!
