Perito Moreno Glacier

The Perito Moreno Glacier  is a glacier located in the Los Glaciares National Park in the south west of  Santa Cruz province, Argentina.

 

The 250 km2 ice formation, and 30 km in length, is one of 48 glaciers fed by the Southern Patagonian Ice FieldAndes system shared with Chile.

 

This icefield is the world's third largest reserve of fresh water.

yes, this glacier is very blue... well, i did darken my photos a little but not adjusted colors. if you check out the Julian Schnabel film "Diving Bell and the Butterfly" - you also see moreno "live" and always crashing into the sea at the end of the movie! I think it is the fastest growing glacier...
