Stone and Sand and Sea and Sky

Stone and Sand

Stone and sand and sea and sky

Rest my heart and please my eye.

I will go and not ask why

Stone and sand and sea and sky.

Early morning rise and walk

Listen to the sea stone talk

Wild geese flock above me high

Stone and sand and sea and sky.

Soon the wind is holding me

Clears my mind so easily

Open, open to the song

Wind and sea have played so long.

I am strengthened by the sea

Something broken mends in me

Hold me till the day I die

Stone and sand and sea and sky.

Stone and sand and sea and sky

I am free to laugh and cry

I feel the spirit lift me high

Stone and sand and sea and sky.

Fantastic, Dar! "I see you also have salt water in your veins." And also art, I would add.

Delightful tabblo! I adore all this! The sun, stones ground by water, waves running on a coast. Perfect shots!

BEAUTIFUL! I love these shots. Sat here & scrolled up and down slowly for five minutes. Congrats on a perfect set Alison & Dar.

Dar--you and Allison captured some reall beauties. I know you feel a connection to the sea and that show's in this Tabblo. I love how the light is reflecting on the stones. And the song is a beautiful accompaniment to the images.

Thank you Ira! I'm glad you like it so. :)

Thanks Mike; it's not like me to make a tabblo with so few photos, but Alison and I seemed to be more wrapped up in the being there then the recording of it. I'm pleased that you enjoyed this set well enough to spend so much time scrolling up and down, makes me think that my intention came through. There isn't any real deep meaning, or message, just the shear enjoyment of such things, and the peace that can be found when you give yourself up to that. :)

Pat, "Listen to the sea stone talk..." Maybe I'll never be able to capture that in a photograph, but that doesn't mean I'll ever stop trying to. It has such a pull on me, and I know, you get it. Thank you. :)

Thanks LInda; I'm pleased that my connection to the sea came through in this tab. when I listen to that song the words and sentiment are mine. What the song speaks about is how I feel. The shots with the sunlight reflecting off of the stones are Alison's, but just like the music, those shot speak to me, just the same as if I had of taken them myself.

Sandy Thank you; see my comments to Linda, as they apply to what you've said as well. It was easy to pick the song; two of the members of the Rose Vaughan Trio were friends of mine when I lived in Halifax, and that song has been happyily playing my head since then. :)

Dar, this is a most beautiful Tabblo and made even more so with the addition of the hauntingly beautiful music.

Bobbie that video is wild! Thank you! ... I'd love to be on a beach with waves like that. I'm sure someone would have to tie me down though, I can see me being swept under trying to get the perfect shot! ;)

Thanks Jodi; The photos were taken on French Beach, a provincial park about an hour and a half from Victoria BC. One of our favourite places to be. :)

Deb, I'm pleased you enjoyed it so much. To be able to touch someone with only a handful of photographs and a bit of music, well it makes the sharing of such things worthwhile. Like Bobbie said, the ocean connects all all together in some way, and it's good to feel that connection. :)

Thanks Noe! That second shot of Alison's is my favourite. :)

Thank you Celia; I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

I think we all attracted to the sea, the primordial soup from which we all came. The constancy, the endlessness and finally its beauty will always attract.
Nice set.
