Changes of Lines

We were on our way to the restaurant when suddenly all of these shirts were hanging above our heads. Fascinating experience!

It's an outdoor installation 'Linjanmuutoksia' by Kaarina Kaikkonen. ('Changes of lines' in English)

Colorful.. and interesting idea ..so this an art expo?? Here in Brazil we see this all over the place but for drying purposes.

Simply amazing. Color, uniformity of exposure, the formation of the star ... very, very good to have found these shirts on the road. It was a gift to us of Tabblo.

I also hang my laundry outside to dry here in Finland. So why this was art? Cannot tell, but it made me so unbelievably happy! Everyday life and look! There it was, way up hanging in lines, shirt after shirt. I only know as a woman: next time I go out with my wet laundry I'll probably remember this installation and enjoy hanging my family's clothes outside to dry. A bit of everyday-artist in me too? ;)

This is really wonderful. There is a real skill in photographing the mundane and making it as interesting as you have done, just like Pam said. Congrats on a very well deserved TOD!

Ha! I love it Kris! You know what? My clothes dryer broke at the beginning of summer and we just couldn't rush right out and get a new one so we've been hanging them out on a line. I'm sure that it has already saved us over 100 bucks on the gas bill...of course that's because we have the sun....it would not work like this for every season...still~ I do enjoy the fresh smell of clothes out on the line and I will continue it for sheets and things~~~ VERY REFRESHING AND CREATIVE TOD!
