Alisande21 said at 8:59 a.m. on Aug 3, 2009: Great shots! I wikepedia'd the Hummingbird Hawk Moth and it's not even from the US? It's from Aisa northern Old World from Portugal to Japan, but is resident only in warmer climates (southern Europe, North Africa, and points east - wikepedia), but migrates all over the world during warmer climates. Incredible little creature!
Tishfish said at 9:32 a.m. on Aug 3, 2009: It is incredible. I just love seeing him enjoy my flowers. He/she will be leaving soon around the same time the hummingbird goes which is mid September. I will miss them both. I never knew it was called the hummingbird hawk moth, I just knew it as the hummingbird moth.
