Mushrooms along the Skyline Trail, 2 August 2009, Middlesex-Fells Reservation in Massachusetts

My plan was to ignore the camera and hike the 7 miles at a good clip.

But after so many rainy days, there were a plethora of mushrooms.

No sooner did I put the camera away I would spot another beauty.

Now what you need is to hike with a good mycologist and you could have a feast!
I can hardly believe all these mushrooms were seen on the same hike.
