Night life in Bangkok

Just recently bought a Canon G10 during my stay in Bangkok, got it 7K cheaper than the Retail price in the Philippines and here's my first photo of the moon!!! i couldn't do this in my old Powershot A470...its all sooo worth it ;p

We stayed at Holiday Inn for the entire 2wks, very nice, cozy and affordable...across it is Intercontinental Hotel with cool statues out front.

Above are some of the shrines, surrounding the hotel where i stay. Suffice it to say that the Shrines can be found in every corner, maybe even every establishment because for them it brings good luck..

 

Below are the flowers sold for devotees when making an offering to their god.

The Suan Lum Night Market. Opens daily or rather nightly :) 

 

So many colorful stuff on sale and cheap too...this reminded me of Greenhills in the Philippines...Cheap stuff for the Upper class...but if you want really really Cheap stuff with almost same quality...go to Chatuchak! its a Market composed of 8,000 stalls where they make the saying "shop till you drop" a reality....a heaven for the ladies who love to shop...;p

Yes Sheila, i've been contemplating to get an SLR but then i've yet to learn much about photography and i think its too heavy for me but who knows in the future...maybe :)

This Bangkok it totally new to me. I visited it centuries ago (ok, decades ago...), and, except for the shrines, nothing shown here existed. Thanks for the tour!

Hi Edu, you really need to pay them a visit...lots of Malls around the area where we stayed...and there's a Hotel whose restaurant at the top overlooks the whole city!! of course the price is as sky high as its location hehehe...

Excellent pictures, Aubrey! I use Powershot A580 and get pretty nice photos. yes, G10 is better. But, with 14.7 MP, how large are the photos? Do they take up the entire space on your hard drive?

its 6-8mb per picture....so i resize them to around 300-600kb...:)
