Vi var hungriga som vargar när vi kom ur vattnet. Det var dags att packa ihop och åker tillbaka till Askersund, för att se till att våra magen fick ro. Hemma i Tyskland äta jag nästan aldrig junk food, men i kväll var jag sygen på en kolossal burgare. Min kompis tyckte idén lätt bra. Det fanns en röd kioskboda med picknickbord direkt vid hamnet, där man kunne nytja burgaren och en stor limonad i solnedgången. En kaja satt i blomsterbyttan och tittade interesserad på vår bricka. Livet var härlig....om det inte gällde att packa ihop bagaget snart.

We were starving, when we came out of the water. It was time to pack the towels and bathing suits together and drive back to Askersund. In Germany I usually don't eat fastfood,

but this evening I was longing for a "colossal burger". My friend agreed and so we found ourselves at the little takeaway att the waterfront. While I was waiting for our burgers and fries to achieve an eadable state, my friend secured a picknick table and enjoyed the light of the setting sun. A jackdaw was sitting between the flowers and watching interestedly, what food I served. I was a perfect evening. The only downer was the fact, that we had to pack our stuff that night.

The artful roof was made of wooden shingles. It reminded me a bit of Norwegian stave churches.

Kl 6:00 på morgonen var bilen färdig lastat. Vi tog en sväng till bensinmacken och med den upptankade bilen begav vi oss ut i det vaknande landet. När vi passerade Karlsborg började de första supermarknaden öppna. Vi åkte över Skövde och Skara och blev utbromsad byggnadsplats efter den nästa. På någon rastplats kunde vi äntligen bli av med våra tomflaskor. Sedan var vi på färd igen. Vid Vårgårda svängde vi av mot Borgstena, Fristad och Borås. Det var en fin väg genom landsbyggden. Sedan dröjde det inte länge och vi kom fram till landsvetter. Bil blev ännu en gång upptankad förre vi tog den tillbaka till biluthyrning. Några snabba inköp av ost och böcker i terminalen, en kaffe och sedan satt vi i flygplanen. Himlen var molnig, men man kunde se lite av Hallandskust och danskar öarna. Bara en timme, då vi var tillbaka på tysk mark. In i S-banan, bytte vid Centralen, buss från Bergedorf. Vänd nykeln i låset, bort med rucksäcken. Lite ficka. Sedan gällde det att plocka samman skolböcker och åker återigen in till stan. Kan Ni föreställa Er hur det kändes att sitta i en upphetsad skolrum och plugga företagsledning efter en sån helg?

At 6 am the car was loaded. A last trip to the gas station, before it was time to leave Askersund. Sweden just awoke. When we came through Karlsborg a few people stood infront of a supermarket, waiting for it to open. We turned onto the road to Skövde and Skara and were thwarted by a number of road-construction sites. At a motorway station we could get rid of our empty bottles. Than we went on. We turned left at Vårgårda and drove into the direction of Fristad and Borås. It was a lovely country lane, with few houses here and there. When we passed Borås, it didn't take long till we reached Landsvetter airport (near Gothenburg). We refueled our Ford a last time before we left it at the car rental. Just a few purchases of cheese and books, a cup of coffee, than we sat in the plane back to Hamburg.  The sky was cloudy, but I could still see a bit of the coast of Halland and some Danish islands. Only one hour before we were back on German ground. We went straight to the subway, changed trains at the Central station and took the bus from Bergedorf. I stood before my door, turned the key and dumped my backpack. Just a little snack and then I was quickly fetching my school books. I went again to downtown Hamburg, only to sweat in a stuffy schoolroom. Can you imagine to learn business management after such a weekend?

Ni har sett o upplevt en hel del i sverige. Härligt! jag hoppas att ni kommer tillbaka för här finns mycket mer att upptäcka, sådant som är annorlunda än där hemma. Resekildringen kommer säkert att fungera som inspirationskälla för många tabblo visitors

Anke, I am amazed at what you managed to see and do in a matter of a few days! But to do all that and to go directly back to college that was hard! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful holiday in your own special way with these wonderful Tabblos. I love the Jackdaw shots!!

When I came home and opened my mailbox, words abandoned me for all these dear messages on my latest tabblos. I went looking at the work of others to return a bit of this appriciation and find speech again, but the words were still gone. I took a walk through the colony gardens near by, dwelled over the gorgeous flowers and still was wondering how to thank you all. You are such a wonderful croud, and I really enjoy writing for you.

Och Jorma, jag var faktisk tvungen att skriva två språk, eftersom svenska är ett måste när jag skriver om Sverige. Men eftersom dem flesta ännu inte har lärt sig språket skulle engelska vara med också.

Mirella, as I saw that you have relived the whole trip this evening, I expect to meet you up there next spring on an international tabblo meeting. And Fabio, Celia, Jorma, Mike, Lasse and the others for sure too ;-)

Pat, I looked at these mouthwatering ice-cream creations too, and was just anticipating the desert, when the owner shut down the shop, while I was still in the middle of my french fries. Such a pity.
