For my hike this hot August morning, I explored one end of the blue-blazed Cross-Fells Trail, which crosses my usual Skyline Trail. I came upon a family memorial, a rock in a tree, some lovely marshes, and a surprise: the very end of the trail was submerged and impassible. |
