Accade a Roma - It happens in Rome

This is one of the most famous fountains in Rome : Fontana dell'Esedra, near Termini Station.

 

See what it's happening to the sculptures, I think owing to the pollution.

It's almost criminal that such beauty should be at the mercy of acid rain and other corrosive pollutants in our atmosphere. The air we breathe is a cocktail of noxious gases.
