Moments Captured In Time Part One

A wonderful old farm located just a few miles from my house, I find it so refreshing in it's old style architecture and a pleasure to explore.

Columbus Indiana, a quaint small midwestern town, is the place I like to call home.

The photos shown here were taken over the last few years in and around Columbus.

You may have noticed the photos have been altered with textures.

I've been making my own textures for some years now, but lately

I've taken them to heart and apply them to my photos to give them

an artistic painterly effect,at least I hope so.

I'd like to say hello to my old friends here at Tabblo.

I'm still into the digital art scene but have taken a new interest with photography and then applying my textures to give them a painter'esque style or effect.

An early Autumn capture of the old neighborhood

One of the many churches that habit our small town

One of the widely used crops farmed locally and around the state.

All things die, but not all look so lovely in the process.

An interesting find while out for a walk, it's the backside of a building in the downtown area.

Again, another local farm, deeply rich in character, but slowly dying a slow death.

This shot was taken last winter while walking in the woods behind my house, something I find very relaxing.

The Olde Columbus Town Hall which was made into a romantic bed and breakfast with an authentic English pub inside.

Sadly this now sits vacant.

Another capture of the woods outside my backdoor.

A local small graveyard just minutes from the house, a place I like to take a quiet walk alone or while walking the dogs

Another shot taken of the old barn from the farm down the road.

One of the many sights from the life of those living happily in a small town USA.

Hi Jerry. I often wonder how you are and if you will drop back in to treat us to your fine, fine work.

Each one is superb. I am not sure how you do that technique, but it is so artistic. The Farm with the red roofs is so striking. I also like the ivy covered building..mostly because it was just there, and you saw the art in t.

I see you still have that trained flock of birds. So dramatically correct.

and..it is nostalgic to see the wash on the lines, not sure how happy the person actually hanging the colthes is, but I like your sentiment!

Perfect set. Thanks so much

Hi Pam. I appreciate you thinking about me, as I do you my dear.
I'm just a nomad, wandering around all over the web, but I think I'll stick around and see what's happening around the old place.

I see some Tabblo things have changed, and for the better I must say!
Seems like a lot of old faces have either left or busy with the real world.

So nice to visit my dear, see ya later.
