[GeoGraphic :: rainy Oslo]

Vigeland Sculpture Park is located in Oslo, Norway. 3 km northwest of the city centre.

The park covers 80 acres (320,000 m2) and features 212 bronze and granite sculptures created by Gustav Vigeland.

Vigeland personally sculpted every figure out of clay and individual craftsmen were contracted to fabricate the pieces into what they are today.

Most of the statues depict people engaging in various typically human pursuits, such as running, wrestling, dancing, hugging, holding hands and so on.

Oh......how I missed Vigeland Sculpture Park. This is one place where I was awed by the work of the great master. I shed tears because the 'Little Crying Boy' reminded me of my own boy at home of which I was away for so long. Thanks for sharing,

What a wonderful series of images! Those sculptures and art pieces are amazing and I really like how you captured the human interaction/response to the art. I also love the slightly sad images of the flower petals and leaves on the ground.
