Magical set. I love these celebratory days of yore. Makes me think a little of a couple of days i spent in Colonial Williamsburg.

A little worried about that garlic-laden cross. Are there vampires in them there hills? :)
Shenresi said at 4:49 a.m. on Aug 30, 2009:
Fantastique, cette marché, Annelies!!! Man hat wirklich das Gefühl im Mittelalter zu sein!!!

Mooie plaatjes uit het Inuit en Franse coloniale verleden in Canada's Quebec. Goed weergegeven Annelies.
Leftofcenter said at 8:29 a.m. on Aug 30, 2009:
Bedankt, Jan. Op de foto's, zijn het "Indianen", en die wonen hier nog.
Thanks everyone :)
it was COLD, Fabio! feels like fall already. yes, the cheese (with REAL bread that we bought at another stand) was delicious- but the apple pie was totally 100% yummee!!
Fox, that "garlic cross" surprised me too, I didn't ask, but Québec has a long-standing love&hate relationship with the Catholic church.
Andre, the bottles are apple cider...
Bobbie, the kids in costume we're so cute indeed , and for once, I got some smiles for my shots.
Marian, dat meisje stond voor mij, ik zag mezelf ook in haar, gek hè?... TWEELING!!!! :)))
William44 said at 8:36 a.m. on Aug 30, 2009:

Leftofcenter said at 8:59 a.m. on Aug 30, 2009:
Thank you, Bill, it will be on today again (and it's sunny!) Old Montreal, by the port. Like I said, the apple pie and the fresh cheese are worth the trip from up north :)

Lifequest22 said at 11:27 a.m. on Aug 30, 2009:
You and your camera did a fantastic job of capturing the sights of this delightful market. The two smiling girls--wonderful portrait. And the 18th century Rock Band---very Kuel. And the cheese is to die for, I'm sure. Your images just make this market event look like a really fun place to stroll.
Nina1960 said at 11:38 a.m. on Aug 30, 2009:

Wonderful and exquisite market. I love to see how our ancestors lived, eaten and dressed. It's fascinating. Here in Portugal, during Summer we have many markets like this in many different towns of the country.
