Australia, Northern Territory, Alligator River

The East Alligator River in the Kakadu N.P. take its name from the salt water crocodiles in the lower reaches of the river.

The Alligator River are misnamed after the resemblance of the Saltwater Crocodile to Alligator as compared to Freshwater Crocodiles wich also inhabit the Northern Territory.
