Frogs, pineapples, beautiful blooms and an exquisite bluebird. Looks like a tropical paradise, not a yard:)

... We don't have bluejays here. I miss them. They are such a beautiful bird and that's a great shot. I like all of these, but the fungus is especially cool, and so is the first image. I can't count how many layers it has, and it's a perfect topper for a tab with this namem because it's such a dreamy image. ...Those flowers really pop, don't they? I almost got poked in the eye with the second one as I scrolled down. <G>

So you have pineapple growing in your yard? How cool is that! What's the other fruit? I would guess it was passion fruit because it looks like they start off with a large bloom. ... and I can't help it, I'm a sucker for that depth of field stuff, and how the background dissolves into those circular round spots. :)

Lifequest22 said at 12:28 p.m. on Sep 9, 2009:
thank you to everyone for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Dar, Mike--yes the pineapples-- Have had the plants for 5 years and they did nothing until last month I notice one was sprouting. I'm so excited. Now there are 2 growing.

Dar--I don't remember how many layers either--but I did add a textured layer. And the fruit you mention is not a fruit. It's a plant called a Golden Dewdrop. Has small blooms in the summer and they turn in to small yellowish berrylike thingies--hence--golden dewdrop.

Mike--LOL--those are lizzards, not frogs. And the blue bird is called a Blue Jay. They are quite vocal and protective of their young.

Andre, you are welcome to visit my garden anytime.

Ginny--thanks for noticing the treatments of the images.

Neusinha--I'm glad you like # 5---I worked quite a while on that one to bring out the highlights.

Thanks Sandy, Henk, Pat, Doreen and Heidi. I love my yard; just wish it wasn't so hot when I try to work in it. But by next month the temp will come down and it's the winter months that I can really enjoy it.

Noe, George, Thierry, Karine, Pam--thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments.

I'm waiting for the pineapples to mature and am hoping they will be sweet and yummy. Lots of bluejays hang in my yard, but I liked this one because he was hanging on the small ladder and looked so cute.
