Afterglow, beautiful weather on deck (ship ) Red of dawn water in the ditch water. ( Dutch sayings )

The title off this tabblo are Dutch proverbs.

But the read evening color has nothing to do with the weather. I try to explain!!!

The light from the Sun should in the evenings and mornings a long way to go through the atmosphere.

Only the light with the long wavelength reaching our eyes. Also the red wavelengths.

Air pollution and dust from volcanoes, but also water particles breaks the sunlight in different colors.

For a approximately half years ago there was a volcanic eruption in Alaska North America.

With de jet stream on 10 kilometers altitude the dust from this volcano came to Europa.

The evenings in spring colored red by sunset.

Mike Wildthing is this the same moon that you see with your camera??  :))

One of my hobbies is astronomy. I have a 1000 mm mirror telescope. Magnification 150 times. My Sony camera has a magnification about 40 times. This photo is the result from mine Sony.

Photo taken without tripod

Beautiful sunsets. And your shot of the moon is perfect, Henk. Amazing detail without using a tripod. I'm sure that your moon is closer than the one I see:)

duzzz als ik het goed begrijp wordt dat rode licht veroorzaakt door het stof dat uit alaska naar Europa is gewaaid?

PErfecte shot zo scherp zonder statief! Good job!
