There are spiders up here the size of cats...........Okay, I'm exaggerating, a little:) |
As I've mentioned in a previous tabblo, the cottage I live in was built in the early 1800's.
Yesterday, I went up into the attic to search among the accumulated junk for an old desk lamp. I found it, and also came across a dust-covered box full of items that had belonged to my late parents. Among them was a book: The Complete Plays of George Bernard Shaw. And inside the book was a folded newspaper from 1950, with a photograph of Shaw layed out on view the day after his death. |

This book was published in 1937. I've taken the 'worse-for-wear' dust cover off it. |

Shaw did not make known his religious beliefs, but did say that: 'No memorial should be made to him that should take the form of a cross, or any other instrument of torture or symbol of blood sacrifice'.
The link above uncovers a very interesting intellect. |

So what has this got to do with a ghost in the attic, I hear you ask:)
Nothing. I don't really believe in ghosts.....although I've seen and experienced a couple of things in my life that I can't explain, especially as I was stone-cold sober on both occasions.
'Ghost in the Attic' just seemed a good title for a set that included the photo of a great playwright making his final public appearance, in death. |

And for anyone who thinks that this set is a bit morbid, drab, and/or too serious............ |

.....Here's a pic of the naughty but nice, artery-clogging, extremely high calorie Sunday morning breakfast I ate:)
And a few 'rainbow' shots. |

And to finish, a picture of gorillas. Unfortunately they are in the mist, so are hard to spot:) |
