Eduardo.affonso said at 7:23 p.m. on Sep 20, 2009:
MIKE & ENALDO: I don't think Japan should be considered a real place. It is probably sort of hallucination, delusion, mental intoxication. I was reading some koans while visiting this temple, and it's probably a gate to higher (deeper?) stages of consciousness. These sand gardens, these rocks, and even these umbrellas... they don't belong to this planet, this age, this civilization.

SOLANGE: Transe, vc usou a palavra certa.

Charlespop said at 7:53 p.m. on Sep 20, 2009:
Eduardo, I do not agree with you that "Japan..........is a hallucination, delusion....", however I do think the whole city of Kyoto is one very unusal place. Maybe the whole city is one big "gate to higher stages of consciousness" , or at least a gate to a heightened sense of beauty . Great tabblo...we want to see some more photos from your trip!

Estou sem palavras. Já vi e voltei a ver as fotos e sempre me apetece voltar a ver.

Hi Eduardo , so quiet, so peacefull ... Thanks for your always so deeply artistic photos My favorite are the photos with the umbrellas and the grey sand / stones. Where was that ? I try to have a small japanese garden in my garden too, but nothing to compare ! Every day you must take care of the white stone garden like to comb a long woman hair , not really match to our urban stressfull life
I saw a so deeply poetic and humanist japan movie a few weeks ago, who wins many film awards , one of the most beautifull and intimist asian movies for those last years Have you seen it ? if not, you should do it immediately ! Very peacefull too

Lindas imagens...tudo que é zen me atrai.
Eduardo.affonso said at 6:50 a.m. on Sep 21, 2009:

HY HOA: It's so nice to hear from you again, my dear friend! These photos were taken in a zen temple in Kyoto, whose name I totally forgot (maybe Charles can refresh my mind). It was the most impressive temple I visited in Japan, a place where architecture translated zen philosophy in an amazing way. I saw this movie (A Partida, in Portuguese) as soon as I arrived from Japan, and loved it. Loved every scene, the sounds of Japanese being still so vivid in my mind, the rhythm of Japanese life, the unbelievable Japanese kindness.

KRIS, MONICA & FABIO: This was the most peaceful place I visited in Japan. And also my favorite.

ELIANE: Só estando lá mesmo. De preferência, fora do horário das excursões...

NOE: Gracias.

CHARLES: Sometimes, when I see the pics I took, I think that trip to Japan was just my imagination. It is now so distant from my daily life... By the way, do you have any idea which temple is this?? I just can't remember its name nor find it on my guide book.

Eduardo.affonso said at 8:10 a.m. on Sep 21, 2009:
LILIANA: Fui respondendo de baixo pra cima e... parei no Charles. Sorry.

Bellissino ! Japanese gardens are in my dreams ever since I was very young; I tried to understand the philosophy behind them, but it's very difficult to enter such a different world. I had for a while a litle garden 10x15 cm., just to pretend to have a little little dream. If you have some more details, please, show them.............Ciao
