► My own Fossils ◄

I was remodeling a room of my home and I discovered the skeletons of two lizards in the hole of a light switch. They are only 5cm long (2 inches) but through the lens they looks like the skeletons of two dinosaurs.

Chihuahua, Chih.

Wow.. good shots Noe. You still have the skeleton? Try having a few shots by placing them, half buried in some dirt or some sandy background, that would look convincingly from the Jurassic age. lol...

Noe--love what you've done with the lizzards skeletons. When I find them in my house, I usually just pick them up and toss them out the door. But you took them and reinvented them. Bueno. And congrats on TOD.

Une jolie découverte, la ressemblance avec des dinosaures est énorme!!!
Le noir et blanc accentue cette similitude.

What an unexpected find! The black and white shots really suit these little guys too. Crazy how you can even kind of see the poses they were in when they died, especially the back legs of the guy in #3, #5, and #6. I'd love to see them posed in a dirt-like setting to see how much you can actually make them look like fossils. Nice work!
Debdog said at 1:23 p.m. on Sep 21, 2009:

Pattymaryclare said at 9:17 p.m. on Sep 24, 2009:
Silly me Noe but I just felt really bad for how they had to die..starving to death cause they were trapped! The one with LEG right up in mid air and the other seemingly died writhing in a 'ball'........most EXCELLENT photography absolutely as usual and I know there ARE MANY lizards and other 'creepy critters' hecho en Mexico (smile)....just can't stand to know they suffered a slow agonizing and 'wrong place wrong time; death. Saddened me tho' I applaud your b&W mastery and detail here! luv Patty xo

Such sharp and precious details captured in your photos here...I'm impressed that the skeletons remained whole in that little hole. Fabulous photos and an intriguing find!
