AUTUMN

A chill invades the fresh, warm breeze.

The earth cools, and the light laughter of leaf-laden trees becomes a bare and bitter snarl.

Cold wind, cold rain, cold bones, we know them all.

The year has grown weary come the fall,

and winter marches ever nearer.

Excellent montage, Mike. The animals shots are spectacular, caught in mid-motion. The faucet and the trowel compositions are subtle and subdued. My compliments.

Thank you, JOHN. A rather dull, quiet set, that suits the weather at the moment.

Hey Mike, Autumn at your place too? Great tabblo. Every time of the year has its special beauty.
DocEna said at 10:10 a.m. on Sep 25, 2009:
Mike in contrast with our spring: color, light...birds and insects...Autumn-fall: pastel colors, less lght, wind..a bit o melancholy...loved your set of leaves and seem like the animals and birds are preparing for winter that comes right after... the othe object are nice also. tks Mike.
PhotoPop said at 10:16 a.m. on Sep 25, 2009:
Mike, i would NOT call this dull, it is the quite that is descending on the land that you captured that I enjoy.
Wildthing said at 10:28 a.m. on Sep 25, 2009:
Thank you, ENALDO. The failing light of a British Autumn pales against your Magnum PI shirt:)

JOHN. I meant that the change of light and the fading blooms created a dull picture compared to the brightness of summer. Full autumn is obviously more colorful, with the reds, golds and yellows of the leaves. I'm looking forward to capturing them. Although they will not compare with an autumn in New England.
Wildthing said at 10:31 a.m. on Sep 25, 2009:
You are right, RAINER, every season is a visual feast to enjoy.
Ericf said at 10:55 a.m. on Sep 25, 2009:
Wow...you've taken some great shots Mike, thanks!
Mirella said at 11:01 a.m. on Sep 25, 2009:
So romantic ! Is it autumn's atmosphere ? The hare and the bird feeding the other are fantastic. The lonely white feather would be perfect for an Alpino's hat (it's white: for an officer). Ciao, Mike.

Mike, this is a very beautiful Tabblo. There is a peace and serenity about it somehow! Beautiful colours and choice for the layout too.
Hollyridger said at 12:45 p.m. on Sep 25, 2009:
I really like your style and unusual POV's. I, too, think this is definitely worthy of a TOD! My favourite shots are the closeup curling, tired leaves quickly followed by the birds arguing then the hare and on and on......! Super!!

It looks as though there has been a frost. I like the red berries constrasting with the green leaves.
Nice sepia with the old tractor. Is that you?
Wildthing said at 5:09 p.m. on Sep 25, 2009:
Hi, BOB. I only took the tractor pic a couple of days ago. Thought it looked better in sepia. Glad the effect makes it look old.

I love the Fall. Love the colours, the sounds, the smells. You have it all here! Great work!!!
Leftofcenter said at 6:07 p.m. on Sep 25, 2009:
gorgeous pics, Fox. Fall is a photographer's dream (nevermind New York, before the cabin fever blues- we have "indian summer" up here, ya-ain't-seen-nuttin-yet) my favorites are the rusted scoop and the berries. the hare is weird, how did u cath with his two paws (do they call them paws) in the air??? :))
Loes said at 6:28 p.m. on Sep 25, 2009:
Beautiful autumn colours Mike, thanks for this wonderful tabblo, a favourite!
YonderCreature said at 7:30 p.m. on Sep 25, 2009:
Wonderful capturing the evanescent atmosphere of decay, chill, and the quieter parts of the cycle of life. Thanks for making such a positive autumn celebration in your images!
DanMan said at 12:25 a.m. on Sep 26, 2009:
Excellent picture of Mountain Ash tree! I miss them here, we do not have this tree in the States... As usual, wonderful birds shots! Great captures, Mike!
Wildthing said at 5:42 a.m. on Sep 26, 2009:
Thank you for your kind comments, EDITE, SCULLY, LOUISE, YC and DAN.

SCULLY: The hare didn't call his paws anything. He was very uncommunicative. As for catching him with his back 'thingies' in the air: I think he was startled by me. As you know, hares are scared of foxes:)
